Ol' Swivel Hips Still Wovs' Em

Ol' Swivel Hips Still Wovs' Em

Re-Released in 2024, the content was released back in 2020 under the same title on the same label. This older CD box also included two audience recordings that are not included here.

This deluxe box set is focused on the third tour of 1977. Elvis’ live performances in 1977 are often criticized and not without a reason. But Elvis was still offering his fans an enjoying time, the magic of seeing Elvis in person probably exceeded the fact he often delivered a standard and sometimes even mediocre performance. The reactions of the spectators are very telling. They scream, shout and get wild for their hero. While listening to the recordings of these shows you cannot draw any other conclusion than that the shows were below par. But the charisma of Elvis was enormous, which probably made this unnoticed by most of the fans present. This set mostly contains soundboard & multitrack recordings but also contains two rare audience recordings. These high quality audience recordings of the April 27 & 30 performances deserve a place in this box set. Both being first class audience recordings and remastered from scratch to achieve an optimal listening experience.

This 6 cd set includes a wonderful booklet with many rare and unpublished photo’s.

LPs New Script, Same Stage

LPs New Script, Same Stage

OUT AUGUST 16th! Millbranch Music continues with its ultra-high quality vinyl releases, made for the real fan and limited as usual to only 300 copies! Available in black, clear and magenta vinyl!! Get it while you still can!

New Script, Same Stage is a 2-LP set with an extra 20-page booklet and printed innersleeves! We at Millbranch wanted to create an album that does justice to the recordings made at the beginning of 1972. For the part with the songs from the Opening show of January 26, 1972, we even had the opportunity to work with the original binaural tape and this clearly made an impact on the sound which presents the songs in a sound quality never heard before!

With this impressive LP set featuring original photos coming directly from the negatives (almost perfect for framing!), we want to pay tribute to that turbulent time of the recording sessions where Elvis presented his new show in Las Vegas in January and February with a lot of new songs in his setlist and turned his feelings into music at Hollywoods RCA Studio C, given the fact that his marriage was falling apart at the time. The result was a very emotional output of music as only Elvis was able to create because he had put his whole heart and feelings into the recordings, probably even meant as a public apology to his lost love. At least, the songs were kind of a statement done coincidentally or not.

We strongly believe that the songs on our new release fit together very well! Hear Elvis at his best at the early stage of 1972 and make sure youll get your copy of our brandnew and very limited Millbranch vinyl release at your favorite dealer!

New Script, Same Stage CD Version

New Script, Same Stage CD

OUT JUNE 30th! Millbranch Music is back with its first CD release in 2024! This time we have focused our attention to Elvis music of the first 3 months of the year 1972!

New Script, Same Stage is a CD in a deluxe 2-panel Digi-Pack: We at Millbranch wanted to create an album that does justice to the recordings made at the beginning of 1972. For the part with the songs from the Opening show of January 26, 1972, we even had the opportunity to work with the original binaural tape and this clearly made an impact on the sound which presents the songs in a sound quality never heard before!

With this CD, we want to pay tribute to that turbulent time of the recording sessions where Elvis presented his new show in Las Vegas in January and February with a lot of new songs in his setlist and turned his feelings into music at Hollywoods RCA Studio C, given the fact that his marriage was falling apart at the time. The result was a very emotional output of music as only Elvis was able to create because he had put his whole heart and feelings into the recordings, probably even meant as a public apology to his lost love. At least, the songs were kind of a statement done coincidentally or not.

Although there never really was an Elvis Presley album from 1972 that had an impact as if recorded from the same mould, Elvis albums were indeed released that year. Elvis Now came out in January 1972, containing more folk-oriented songs such as Kris Kristoffersons Help Me Make It Through the Night, featuring the big hit Put Your Hand in the Hand by Gene MacLellan from a group called Ocean. Elvis had previously sung MacLellans Snowbird, which was a big hit for Anne Murray, who also had Put Your Hand in the Hand on her album. Additionally, Elvis Now included Gordon Lightfoots Early Morning Rain. In January, Elvis also released a single from the LP Until Its Time for You to Go by Buffy Sainte-Marie and We Can Make the Morning by Jay Ramsey. In April 1972, the gospel LP He Touched Me was released along with the single Bosom of Abraham. The album won a Grammy Award in 1973 in the Best Gospel Album category. In June, the LP Recorded at Madison Square Garden was released in a rush, making it to the stores within a week and earning Elvis a gold record by August 1972.

Although the music for the albums, aside from Madison Square Garden, were all recorded in 1971, there were indeed recording sessions planned for 1972. RCA had made significant investments to record during the winter season in Las Vegas, where Elvis presented his completely new show - a no-nonsense show with more drama, more music, and less interaction with the audience. In March, at RCA Studio C in Hollywood, new songs were to be recorded. These songs became some of the most iconic Elvis Presley songs, including Burning Love, Always on My Mind, and Fool by James Last. Unfortunately, the songs mostly came out on budget LPs from RCA Camden and in 1973 on the album Elvis, which the public called The Elvis Fool Album. This record was mainly filled with various leftover songs from the archive. It is unfortunate that the songs and the concept of the songs from early 1972 were never released as a full album because when you hear all the songs in an order, they do indeed fit together.

We strongly believe that the songs on his new CD fit together very well! Hear Elvis at his best at the early stage of 1972 and make sure youll get your copy of our brandnew Millbranch release at your favorite dealer!

LP Back In LA

LP Back In LA

OUT AUGUST 16th! Millbranch Music continues with its ultra-high quality vinyl releases, made for the real fan and limited as usual to only 300 copies! Available in black, clear and transparent red vinyl!! Get it while you still can!

BACK IN L.A. is a 2-LP set with an extra 20-page booklet and printed innersleeves, containing the legendary evening show at the Forum in Los Angeles, California from May 11, 1974!

Elvis 1974 LA concert, with Led Zeppelin in the audience, has seen quite a few releases over the past 10+ years, starting with Live in LA on the FTD record label in 2011. Unfortunately the tape ran too slow on this release. Subsequent releases under various labels did not fully resolve the quality issues, as they were sourced from a Low Noise Audio cassette containing a copy of an original reel-to-reel tape. Although several Import labels attempted to remaster the FTD CD, the first noteworthy release of this concert was on the City of Angels set which featured a direct transfer from the original reel-to-reel tape. The original tape was not in the best condition after being poorly preserved and changing owners a few times. Regrettably, it was not remastered professionally when the City of Angels CD was released.

Thanks to the late Edwin Meijers, a pivotal figure in the 1980s with close ties to Colonel Parker who at the time needed funds for legal battles we were able to obtain the original tape. Meijers relationship with Parker facilitated the acquisition of several unique, authentic recordings, now cherished by collectors.

During the production of our Kansas City Revisited album, we were amazed by what could be done to restore these kinds of recordings using modern studio techniques and the expertise of our sound engineer. It inspired us to release this dynamic and historical show from May 1974 once more. This release includes a 20 page booklet detailing Elvis Back in LA and a bonus section with performances from 1956, 1970, and 1974. We know you will enjoy this great show, which still gets A Whole Lotta Love from the members of Led Zeppelin fifty years later!

“Elvis Seventy Three”

“Elvis Seventy Three”

REELTRAX is back with another great 2-CD release – actually the first one in 2024! After the great success of our recent vinyl release “68 Unleashed” which has sold out very quickly we now present a completely new CD project!

“Elvis Seventy Three” is a 2-disc set with two complete shows from Elvis´ August 1973 engagement at the Hilton Hotel in Las Vegas: With CD 1 of this set you will be able to step back in time with Elvis Presley’s closing night performance from September 3, 1973. For the first time, experience this iconic show which easily can be seen as one of the most unusual performances of Elvis´ career in correct speed and superior sound quality, thanks to a meticulous Matrix mix of soundboard and audience recordings. This new mix reveals intricacies and audience interactions previously unheard, capturing the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll in his element.

The closing night concert is renowned for its humorous touch – for instance when Elvis had a toy monkey on his back (all through the first two songs of the show) while being carried on stage on the back of Lamar Fike or when a red velvet bed had been placed on stage during the show with Elvis sitting on it while singing “What Now My Love” and pretending to “search” for his love in the bed. And especially when he totally mixed up the music and lyrics of “Suspicious Minds” and “Bridge Over Troubled Water”, probably just because he wanted to fool his musicians (we called that “Suspicious Bridge” and gave it its own track on the cd). But the concert is also known for its heartfelt and rare performances like "Help Me Make It Through The Night", “Softly As I Leave You” and a fantastic "How Great Thou Art" with multiple reprises, among others.

Additionally, to make sure the content of this CD is 100% the “real” closing night show we did not use the first 6 songs from the soundboard of the dinner show of the same date (which has been done this way before on an earlier release of the show), but chose to include them from an ambiance recording which has been made at closing night (see Tracklist below). It’s a pity that those first six songs have not been recorded on soundboard back in 1973.

CD 2 presents the midnight show of August 7, 1973, sourced from an ambiance recording which offers a very good sound. Elvis himself mentioned during the concert that he and his band were enjoying their time on stage, which led him to extend his performance, adding a personal touch to this memorable evening. One of only two versions of “Funny How Time Slips Away”, sung during the August 1973 season, and “Faded Love”, performed live for its fourth and final time are real highlights.

But actually the setlists of BOTH shows in this 2-CD set contrast the energy from the beginning to the end of Elvis’s stint, highlighting both his serious and playful side on stage. The show on CD 2 has previously been released at a wrong speed on ‘Top Acts in Vegas’ 28 years ago. This corrected version now allows fans to hear Elvis as he truly sounded, making it a pivotal release for collectors and new fans alike.

Enhance your Elvis collection with this definitive edition, featuring no less than a variety of 9 bonus tracks that underscore rare moments and the fun Elvis had during the Las Vegas Summer season of 1973.

Our Memories Of Elvis Volume 3

Our Memories Of Elvis Volume 3

Victory Records
LP + 2CD
After the untimely death of Elvis in August 1977 Elvis' record company quickly reissued a big part of the Elvis catalogue on vinyl. The demand was obviously huge and the staff had to work overtime. The last album released during Elvis’ lifetime was ‘Moody Blue’. Between all reissues, ‘Elvis in Concert’ (the last “planned” Elvis album) was released.

The double album was awarded gold & platinum in October 1977. After ‘Elvis in Concert’ a lot of compilation and special product albums were released, but Joan Deary definitely felt the fans were in need for something special. She released ‘a legendary performer volume 3’ containing some unreleased tracks. Shortly after 'A Legendary Performer' she produced the excellent release ‘Our Memories Of Elvis’ in February 1979.

The album claimed to contain tracks without additional accompaniment, but for real the album featured stripped down versions, not the undubbed masters that the fans thought they were listening to. Although not being as big of a seller as expected, the album has always been a fan favorite and paved the road for a 'volume 2' and for later releases like the ‘Elvis Aaron Presley’ box set and ‘Greatest Hits Volume 1’. A volume 3 of 'Our Memories Of Elvis' was planned but never realized, until now! Now available is this super limited edition 14 track 180 grams album. This release contains two bonus cds containing the LP tracks and many bonus tracks.

This is the pure Elvis!

2 LP Set: Rags To Riches (MBM 2024-1-5)

2 LP Set: Rags To Riches (MBM 2024-1-5)

Millbranch Music is excited to introduce the (limited to 300 copies) vinyl edition of our acclaimed album “Rags To Riches”, a continuation of the success from last year's CD release. This special edition honors Elvis Presley's legendary June and September 1970 Nashville sessions, where he collaborated with a distinguished group of musicians to produce some of the most heartfelt and enduring music of his career.

During the June 1970 sessions, Elvis worked with legendary guitarist James Burton, whose electric guitar licks enhanced tracks such as "Patch It Up" and "I've Lost You", as well as the talented Norbert Putnam, whose bass lines provided the foundation for "The Next Step is Love". The September sessions saw Elvis collaborating with the same high caliber musicians, including the gifted pianist David Briggs, whose contributions helped to define the sound of songs like "I Really Don't Want To Know" and "Bridge Over Troubled Water".

This vinyl release includes special printed inner sleeves with liner-notes titled “Designed to Be Beautiful”, exploring the reasons why these sessions capture some of Elvis' most beautiful and mature work, a creative peak in his career. Also, the black vinyl edition includes a bonus CD, and a bonus photo from the "That's The Way It Is" motion picture, providing a visual complement to the music.

Our goal with this vinyl edition is to present the music as it was intended, highlighting the distinct qualities of the mono mixes, the special mastering done for this vinyl edition cements that sentiment. This release is a celebration of Elvis’ legacy, the talented musicians who worked with him, and the timeless music they created together. Now available at your favorite dealer, this edition invites fans and newcomers alike to experience Elvis Presley's music in a format that pays homage to the artist's significant contributions to music, underscored by the exceptional talent of the session musicians from those pivotal Nashville sessions.

“A Study of Elvis Presley in Concert” A thesis of the TV-special.

“A Study of Elvis Presley in Concert” A thesis of the TV-special.

BOOK/CD/DVD/Blu-Ray.

The book contains 136 pages thesis with many beautiful related photos, interviews and documents with extended information about “the tv-special”. To support the thesis, we had to include footage of the aired European TV-Special broadcast and a behind the scenes interview and four clips to support the thesis.

All multimedia material is available on the net, YouTube, forums and other dedicated sites, etc., but for easy access we’ve collected them in one place and edited it to follow the story line of the book. We tried to use the best quality multimedia available to us.

Every effort has been made to debunk accepted “facts”. Putting facts in the right perspective as should have been done years ago.

The question why we’ve made a book instead of an internet publication? It’s simple, you can pick it up and show it directly to anyone who comes along with old mis interpreted facts. This book will help Elvis fans explain and the media to correct their opinion when reviewing Elvis’ last TV special or concerts of his years. Anyone should pay the respect Elvis deserves for his showmanship and the genius which he really was.

Elvis In Concert is a historical document. It has to be seen and listened to, so someone can understand the full Elvis story. It’s the Shakespearean final act of a great life. Perhaps he said it best himself in a 1961 interview with Lloyd’ Shearer. ‘Cut Me and I Bleed.’

We do hope that it sets of an idea to bring out a massive release which justifies Elvis in his later years. Right now you hold a rare study of Elvis Presley in concert, a plead and thesis in your hands. The audio and footage are additional and limited in quantity. For quality and durability, we choose pressing in 24 carat gold when possible. All our sources are mentioned in the book for even more in-depth reading.

The audio on the cd is remastered and re-arranged according to the original setlist of Rapid City to have the full concert experience how it develops it to the climax moments of the show of which we refer to in the thesis. Fan comments were removed and “Unchained melody” is added. The footage is on DVD and Blu-ray (Same content in higher resolution.) Note: The clip of “I Really Don’t Want To Know “was our first test for the high quality audio presentation only. We included it as a bonus. See the book for more detail.

The songs in order of appearance:
Also, Sprach Zarathustra/Opening Riff /See See Rider /I Got A Woman /Amen /That’s All Right /Are You Lonesome Tonight?/Love Me/Fairytale/Little Sister/If You Love Me (Let Me Know)/You Gave Me A Mountain /And I Love You So /Jailhouse Rock /How Great Thou Art /O Sole Mio / It’s Now Or Never /Trying To Get To You/Hawaiian Wedding Song /(Let Me Be Your) Teddy Bear/Don’t Be Cruel/My Way /Early Morning Rain /What’d I Say /Johnny Be Goode /I Really Don’t Want To Know /Hurt /Hound Dog /Unchained Melody/Can’t Help Falling In Love /Closing Riff.

Please note, the number of copies is limited. The book is ONLY available from fan clubs and exclusive Elvis dealers and intended for research NOT for mainstream release.

Southbend to Wichita 5 CD Set

Southbend to Wichita 5 CD Set

In 1974 Elvis had a busy year, coming hot of the heels of yet another but successful engagement in Las Vegas in January/February Elvis went back on tour.

Elvis would do nothing but touring between March & August, with the exception of an engagement in Lake Tahoe in between and when Elvis tried to reinvent his setlist in August for yet another engagement in Las Vegas it turned out to be a failed attempt, the crowd did not seem to like the changes Elvis had made opting to get rid of most of his original material and replacing it with newer material or material he hadn't sang live ever.
After this season Elvis would take rest for two and a half weeks before goin back on tour and giving one of his worst performances in College Park, MD on September 27th and 28th.

This limited 5-disc digipack compiles all available soundboards from the last week of the tour with an Elvis that’s in better form then when he started this tour, this set starts with the show in Southbend, Indiana on October 1st, and ends with the show in Wichita on October 7th 1974, you can enjoy some great and rare versions of ''Promised Land'' ''That's All Right'' ''Until It's Time For You To Go'' a serious ''Why Me Lord'' and stunning versions of ''It's Midnight'' among others.

All the shows have been digitally remastered for the best and most optimal sound quality and this digipack is presented with rare photos taken during this tour.

Music From The MGM Motion Picture - Harum Scarum

Music From The MGM Motion Picture - Harum Scarum

Now available is the second release on the POPCORN label. This amazing double album is completely dedicated to the Harum Scarum sessions.
These sessions, which took place in February & March of 1965, 8 months after the GIRL HAPPY sessions Elvis went back to STUDIO B at the RCA STUDIOS in Nashville Tennessee. Some overdubs took place at the MGM Sound Stage in Hollywood California 2 weeks later. The sessions resulted in 11 master recordings of which 9 were used in the movie. Wisdom of the ages & Animal Instinct were featured as bonus tracks on the soundtrack lp.

Now you can enjoy these sessions on this deluxe double album.
All the tracks are also available on the 2 bonus cd’s added to this package.
Although not the best sessions Elvis was involved in, still this set makes a great listen.
