Well Im Phillip, born in 1967 in Reading, Berkshire. Became an Elvis fan 17th August 1977 and started being a computer nerd in 1982.

I have experience in MS Windows from Win 3.x and DOS 6.22, Linux since Ubuntu 2004, LAMP Servers with Plex Media, OpenCart shop fronts and Dreamweaver for web design.

I currently run a dedicated Intranet server using Debian with LAMP and Plex. My main laptop (Lenovo) runs Windows 10 which is used for my web design.

LAMP is an acronym for the operating system, Linux; the web server, Apache; the database server, MySQL; and the programming language, PHP. The Windows version is called "WAMP" which I have installed and running under Windows 10.

I have a desktop PC running as a dual boot with Windows 10 and Manjaro Linux, plus a Dell Inspiron laptop running WIndows 11 and Fedora Linux (with the KDE Plasma desktop).

I have also messed around with Amstrad CPC's and Sinclair Spectrums. It was the speccy where I learned how to type, and how to read basic code. I was able to load games, read the program code, change it and then cheat at the games.

Linux distros which I have taught myself how to use include : Ubuntu, Debian, Mandriva, Mageia, Manjaro, Fedora, openSUSE, ClearOS, PCLinuxOS, Deepin and a few I have forgotten the names of.

Since 1999 I have been working on a project called "The Elvis Presley Omnipedia", which has evolved into an 11,500 plus page wiki dedicated to Elvis Presley, which is aimed at running from a USB Data Stick.

I currently live in Newbury, West Berkshire and have been there since 2010.
