The album embodies the country music prowess of Elvis. Although often related to the rock-and-roll genre, the King also had a strong tie to country music. The sounds in 'Elvis in Nashville' are an excellent representation of this. Comprising of both well-known country music numbers and a handful of lesser-known pieces, the record gives listeners a warm embrace as they dive into the album's layers. It’s an audible odyssey filled with Elvis' melodic charisma.

The Recordings took place at RCA's seminal Nashville studio and featured an exceptional array of consummate musicians from the Music City's session scene, christened the 'A Team', adding a distinct Neoclassical Country tone to the recordings, providing fans with an efficiency Elvis Presley had not previously explored. The album's tracks lay testament to Nashville's influence on Elvis - they were influenced by the lively country vibe obtained from the origins of music found in the region.

Summery:
Ernst Mikael Jorgensen has pulled another great set out of the hat. I know that on a lot of his recent projects he wanted to strip away all the candy crap, and get back to the raw Elvis. Well he has delivered again on this release.

The only BIG problem I have is that these boxsets (and some FTD releases as well) cost an obsurd amount of money which, I believe, put them out of the reach of many Elvis fans. I for one will be waiting at least 18 months to get a deal on Amazon when they want to get rid of the last few remaining.
